DANAE C KIRK DMD MS CERT. ORTHO
Dr. Danae Kirk completed her undergraduate training at Queen’s University in Life Sciences, followed by four years of dental school at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. During this time, she discovered a love for orthodontics and for helping children and adults achieve a great smile. Following her general dental training, she was selected to pursue additional training with a comprehensive specialty and residency program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Her research focus was on the impact of 3D cone beam imaging of roots and bone on orthodontic treatment planning decisions for which she was awarded a Masters degree in Dentistry.
Dr. Kirk stays abreast of the latest advancements in orthodontics with memberships in numerous organizations including the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, and Canadian Dental Association.
Having grown up in Ottawa, Dr. Kirk is happy to be back working near her hometown, providing bilingual service to her patients in both French and English. In her spare time, Dr. Kirk enjoys cooking, traveling, and hiking.
CHRISTOPHER J KIRK DDS MS CERT. ORTHO
Dr. Christopher Kirk completed his undergraduate training at the University of Ottawa and his dental school at the University of Toronto. While in dental school, Dr. Kirk enrolled in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Dental Officer and was posted to Petawawa, Ontario. After completing Basic Military Training and rising to the rank of Captain, Dr. Kirk not only heard every Star Trek joke in the book, he also served by providing dental care for military members as well as their families.
While caring for both Military and Civilian dental patients, he became very interested in orthodontics and interdisciplinary specialty care. He pursued orthodontic specialty training and completed his residency at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, while achieving a Masters degree for his research on the accuracy of orthodontic records for treatment planning.
When out of the office, Dr. Kirk is often attending continuing education courses in order to offer the highest level of care and orthodontic technologies to his patients. He is a member of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, and Canadian Dental Association among others.
Dr. Chris Kirk excited to be in Carleton Place, near his hometown of West Ottawa. He loves helping children, teens, and adults achieve their dream smile using the latest advances in the orthodontic field.
Dr. Kirk is crazy about cars, loves hiking, traveling, snowboarding, bouldering, distance running, woodworking and spending time with his wife.
